With the newest addition of Philippa Tsang as Head of Production & Development UK, DCM is continuing its focus on the development and co-production of English-language projects, in addition to German-language projects. Philippa Tsang brings to DCM, her relationships in and outside of the UK and many years of experience in production and acquisition. Since 2012, she has worked for Hanway Films as an Acquisition Executive, and subsequently as Development and Production Executive at Film4, working closely with talent such as Grimur Hakonarson, Babak Anvari, John Crowley and Sarah Gavron. Philippa Tsang’s first day at DCM will be on May 7, 2018. She will be headquartered in London.

Tsang’s credits at Film4 include Michael Pearce’s BEAST, Toby MacDonald’s OLD BOYS and Stephen Merchant’s FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY.
Previous DCM productions and co-productions include the successful BIBI & TINA franchise (2014-2017), the Norwegian adventure film KON-TIKI (2013), Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut QUARTET (2012), the films MEDITERRANEA (2015) and A CIAMBRA (2017)by Jonas Carpignano, and the Astrid Lindgren biopic BECOMING ASTRID (2018), which celebrated its world premiere at this year’s Berlinale. Currently in production is the German comedy WUFF by Detlev Buck, which will be released by DCM in cinemas in Germany and Switzerland in October 2018.
